This Puranic concept is virtually the Hindu theory of evolution of life on earth. According to this concept, we are now approximately 5000 years into the Kali-yuga which started at the death of Lord Krishna, the 9th incarnation, and marked the end the third eon, the Duwaper-yuga. Rama was the 7th and the last of the three incarnations in the preceding Treta-yuga and followed the 6th incarnation of Parsurama in the same eon. It is interesting to note that the Ramayana story mentions both these incarnations. The story describes a face to face confrontation between Lord Rama and Parsurama at the occasion of Rama’s wedding. Lord Parsurama retires to the heavens after getting convinced of Rama being the next incarnation. Working backwards in time from the current period in Kali-yuga we can estimate the Puranic time of this change over from 6th to the 7th incarnation. We are almost five thousand years into the Kali-yuga which is believed to have started at the end of Duwaper-yuga with the death of Lord Krishna, the ninth incarnation. Adding 864,000 years of the Duwaper-yuga, brings us to 869,000 years back at the end of the Treta-yuga of which Rama was the last incarnation. Thus the period of changeover from the sixth incarnation of Lord Parsurama to the 7th incarnation of Lord Rama may be easily placed at 900,000 years back in time.
Parsurama armed with axe may, in fact, represent the evolutionary stage of tool using hunter gatherers. Rama’s skills in using bow and arrow makes the evolving man the master of the animal kingdom leading to the start of the civilization as we know it. This may, to some extent, explain the meaning of the suggestion by the divine sage Narada for sage Valmiki to base his story on the first hero of the civilization according to the Puranic concepts, thus providing a time stamp for the epic.
The story of Ramayana may have been inspired by the Puranic incarnations but appears to have been composed much later to serve as a guide to the mankind for right conduct. Story of the Ramayana is played in the form of amateur theater every year in every nook and corner of India. The story is repeated time and again in daily pursuits of the population so that everybody becomes thoroughly conversant with the conduct of each character of the story. Conduct of the characters appearing in the story of Ramayana covers almost all aspects of day to day life. These characters define virtual laws for right conduct for the people thus providing suitable role models for the people to base their actions upon.
Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human says that humans are bipedal primates belonging to the species Homo sapiens (Latin: "wise man" or "knowing man") in Hominidae, the great ape family.[2][3] They are the only surviving member of the genus Homo. Humans have a highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and problem solving. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the arms for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other species. Mitochondrial DNA and fossil evidence indicates that modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago.[4] Humans now inhabit every continent and low Earth orbit, with a total population of 6.8 billion as of November 2009.[5]
Like most higher primates, humans are social by nature. However, humans are uniquely adept at utilizing systems of communication for self-expression, the exchange of ideas, and organization. Humans create complex social structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups, from families to nations. Social interactions between humans have established an extremely wide variety of values, social norms, and rituals, which together form the basis of human society. Humans have a marked appreciation for beauty and aesthetics which, combined with the human desire for self-expression, has led to cultural innovations such as art, literature and music.
Humans are noted for their desire to understand and influence their environment, seeking to explain and manipulate natural phenomena through science, philosophy, mythology and religion. This natural curiosity has led to the development of advanced tools and skills, which are passed down culturally; humans are the only extant species known to build fires, cook their food, clothe themselves, and use numerous other technologies.
B.C., which stands for "Before Christ," is used to date events before the birth of Jesus. A.D. is the abbreviation for the Latin phrase anno Domini, which means "in the year of our Lord," and is used for dates after Jesus's birth. This system of dating has been used for many years by Western archaeologists. Today, however, with a growing understanding that not all archaeologists are Christians, some archaeologists prefer to use the terms: Before the Common Era (B.C.E.) and the Common Era (C.E.), which are exactly the same as B.C. and A.D. but have nothing to do with Christianity.
An illiterate woodcutter, from deep Satpura region remembers full Ramayana since birth. Most intriguing is the fact that it is a gift betowed to him since birth. He can not read and write. And he never heard anyone read it to him. His parents never could read and write either. He knows "Sri Ramayana" inside out. One can read out three consecutive words from anywhere in Ramayana and he can recite the rest of the full Epic in Sri Tulsidas ji's words. He has been gifted with the Ramayana since his birth. Since he could speak. He can not still read it in the book but lives, dreams and worships it. Hats off to the yogis of this great nation. I for one, never believed it and when I did, I could not help but put it in front of the world to aknowledge the power of the unknown. We as humans know so little and are so remote from the ultimate truth. A glimpse I got to see in Osaka, Japan as well- but then that's another story.....
The concept of describing dates astronomically has been a practice in India since days bygone and thus lot of Indian literature are embedded with such astronomical data. This is a technique of charting the future or past sky using a scientific tool. This tool helps to arrive at planetary positions given a date in future or past and vice-versa i.e. given a set of planetary configurations, arrive at the date either in future or in the past. Such tools are collectively called Planetarium software. There are probably over 50 such different software available. Each software can be used specifically for a particular application, like, plotting the current night sky chart, predicting eclispes and the likes. When spacecrafts are launched to visit far-off planets like Jupiter and Saturn, it would take a travel time of well over 12 years for the spacecraft to reach these planets. This software helps determine orbital positions of the planets when the spacecraft reaches their orbits. For this, a high level of precision is required in the software. Unlike any other civilization so far, the literature of the Indian civilization is characterised for being embedded with night sky observations. Feeding the observations of the planetary configurations into the Planetarium software gives us the English calender dates when these configurations could have occured in the past. When these dates are logically arranged along with the events, it helps us to scientifically assign dates to events mentioned in Indian legends and historical texts, and validate them. Thus the astronomical remains left behind in our literature can be analysed scientifically to arrive at historic dates for various events. This approach is parallel to archaeology where physical remains are analysed to arrive at historic dates and hence gives rise to a new branch of scientific dating which may be called Archaeo-astronomy. Various modern day researchers have made use of this software to arrive at such historic dates for various events described in the Indian literature. We have collated the outputs of such credible work which are worthy of standing up to cross validation. In the context of the Historicity of Rama, the works of Shri. Pushkar Bhatnagar, as brought out in the book "Dating the Era of Lord Ram" form the basis of what is presented here to understand the dates of the events in Rama’s lifetime. This particular text, Ramayana, when analysed from a scientific perspective using such Archeo-Astronomy techniques, shows tremendous internal consistency between the events described astronomically and the storyline based elapse time between those events. This method puts forth the below mentioned dates for the events that occur in the Ramanaya legend.
Sri Rama Navami - Birth day : 10th January 5114 BCE
Birth of Bharatha : 11th January 5114 BCE
Pre coronation eve : 4th January 5089 BCE
Khar, Dushan episode : 7th October 5077 BCE
Vali Vadham : 3rd April 5076 BCE
Hanuman's Visit to Lanka : 12th September 5076 BCE
Hanuman's Return from Lanka : 14th September 5076 BCE
It is indeed noteworthy to observe that these dates are internally consistent. While the purpose of this software was different, it has now thrown open a potential for a new branch of science which can be named Archeo Astronomy as just like archeology it can help date events as described in literature. This software has now become declassified and is available for public use. This modern method of – Archeo Astronomy is still not accepted or practiced by traditional historians as it requires knowledge of traditional astronomy, mathematics as well modern day sky chart reading techniques all of which go into the realm of science. This branch of archeology requires and will create a new breed of archeologists and has the potential to date more events from our vast store of literature than traditional archeology can.
OK, even if these texts are to be considered historic texts and the events mentioned therein to be dated as close to 7000 years ago based on Archeo Astronomy, there seems to be an inconsistency with the time period pronounced as 17,50,000 years ago, based on NASA’s satellite image? Why this mismatch? I fact being an author and researcher I strongly do believe that the Setu to Lanka was present before Ramayana. Now question arises if it is then we have to check whether there was any civilization 17,50,000 years ago who could really develop such long bridge?
Physical Observation : Today the bridge measures approx 35 km in length Vs 3.5km in breadth from Dhanushkodi to Talaimannar which is a 100:10 ratio.
Throughout history, there has been catastrohic events (i.e. ice ages, extinction, etc.). Could it be possible that with the 4.5 billion year old planet (oldest rocks on Earth date to around that time) we are living on it could have had at one time ancient civilizations, ones that had a superior intelligence like or even greater than our own?
If you think that creation recycling is possible then please refer to the following :
Earth Born : 4,500,000,000 years ago
Life Started : 4,000,000,000
Last Universal Ancestor : 3,900,000,000
First appearance of oxygen creating bacteria : 3,000,000,000
First Appearance of oxygen using bacteria : 2,500,000,000
Multicelluar life appears : 1,000,000,000
First vertebrates : 500,000,000
First plants on land : 475,000,000
Evolution of the egg, first reptiles : 300,000,000
Dinosaurs extinct : 65,000,000
Man seperates from great apes : 5,000,000
Man uses tools : 2,000,000
Modern humans appear : 100,000
First settlements : 15,000
According to theory, it took 500 million years for life to start, but for the next 3 billion years, only single cells existed. Seeing as though Earth is 4.5 billion years old, for 3/4 of its life, only single celled life existed.
Point 001. Man seperates from great apes : 5,000,000
Point 002. Man uses tools : 2,000,000
Point 003. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge´s age is also almost equivalent.
Point 004. Modern humans appear : 100,000
Thus points 1,2,3 and point 4 contradictory. Lord Rama was educated - he was modern - he knew Sanskrit. Modern human appears 100,000 years back. So how the bridge took place 1,750,000 years ago? I think Ramayana took place around 8000 years back. Lord Rama just used it and renovated before the time of war.
Again I mention about the traditional timescale. The traditional timescale of the yugas suggests that the Satya Yuga lasts 1,728,000 years, the Treta Yuga 1,296,000 years, the Dvapara Yuga 864,000 years and the Kali Yuga 432,000 years. As this list indicates, each yuga is progressively shorter. In total, a complete cycle constitutes 4,320,000 years, a period of time which is known as a mahayuga (or "great Yuga"). One thousand mahayugas are said to constitute a day in the life of the creator god Brahma, also known as a kalpa, which is the fundamental cosmic cycle in Hinduism. You multiply 4,320,000 years by thousand and the result is 432 billion years nearly equal to 4,500,000,000 years i.e. the age of earth. In each kalpa earth destroys according to Purana. Since our earth's current age is greater than 1000 mahayugas = 1 kalpa = 4.32 billion years = 432 crores years so our earth could be destroyed meanwhile according to the facts described in Purana.
But it didn't happen so.
Next Lord Rama used so many tools in the war and again to mention that Purana says that Satya Yuga lasts 1,728,000 years, the Treta Yuga 1,296,000 years, the Dvapara Yuga 864,000 years and the Kali Yuga 432,000 years. Point to note that Matsya (the fish), Kurma (the turtle), Varaha (the boar) and Narasimha (the man-lion), the first four incarnations of Vishnu, appear in this epoch i.e. in Satya Yuga. It means that that time there was no sign of human. Man seperates from great apes : 5,000,000 years ago. So if from the birth of earth yuga calculation starts then Stya Yuga started 4,500,000,000 years ago and ended 4,500,000,000 - 1,728,000 = 3,998,272,000 years ago. So 3,998,272,000 years ago was it possible for Matsya (the fish), Kurma (the turtle), Varaha (the boar) and Narasimha (the man-lion) to occur? And clearly Narasimha (the man-lion) doesn't exist anymore. It has been a rare animal many years back. We know that oxygen creating bacteria appeared 3,000,000,000 years back. So it is not possible. So the way we count years can't be used in order to understand the traditional timescale described in Purana.
One more point.
Mahayuga consists of 4,320,000 years. Each Mahayuga consists four yugas and from Treta Yuga we use to find out the traces of human. Since earth's present age is 4.5 billion years so more than 10 mahayugas are supposed to take place. Think about the first Mahayuga's Treta Yuga. Did any human born that time? Never. Not possible.
So the traditional timescale must have spiritual meanings. The inner meanings are hidden. Suddenly I have found that 30x60x24x10=432000 (span of Kalyuga) . 432000x2=864000 (span of DwaparaYuga). 432000x3=1296000 (span of Treta Yuga) 432000x4=1728000 (span of Satya Yuga).
Span of (satya:treta:dwapara:kal) yuga = 4:3:2:1. Total span of these four ages = 4,320,000 years. Man seperates from great apes : 5,000,000.
From this thing I conclude that calculation of Yuga started from that day when man seperates from great apes i.e. 5,000,000 years ago. The authors who mentioned the traditional timescale, they must have started from that age. Before that probably they didn't consider.
So now one thing is clear from when the Yuga calculation started.
Now we can take into account the time period pronounced as 17,50,000 years ago, based on NASA’s satellite image. It is possible.
Assumption : Satya Yuga started 5000000 years back and ended 5000000 - 1728000 = 3272000 years back. Treta started 3272000 years ago and ended 3272000 - 129600 = 1976000 years ago and during this period Ramayana took place. This calculation nearly supports the knowledge that Man uses tools : 2,000,000. During the war many tools were used. Dwapara started 1976000 years ego and ended 1976000 - 864000 = 1112000 years ago and kalyuga started since then whose span is 432000 years. It seems that Kalyuga has ended and we are presently at Satya Yuga. But no. As per the characteristics of the epoch, the inhabitants never die until they are wiling to do that, I think that Kali Yuga is not ended. It is the fagend. Some residuals in the calculation i.e. some lakh of years is not a major fault when we are considering 1/2 billion years. Again I have started the calculation from the time when man seperates from great apes i.e. 5,000,000 years back. And one mahayuga consists of 4320000 years. So at the first stage of back tracing I have taken 7 lakhs of years as error factor.
Finally I find it is very unnatural that Ramayana took place 17 lakhs of years back. The humans were not so much advanced. How could they handle equipments like arrow-bow, gada etc by their grips? How could they invent Missiles? It is said that Valmiki wrote Ramayana during the time it happened. How funny is it? Did we know to write epics, novels, poems 17 lakhs years back?
Never. If we believe that then our Bio - Science is wrong. Whatever we know - all are wrong. So long long span of Mahayuga, Kalpa has other inner meaning. I believe that each yuga consists 5000 years. Thus Ramayana held nearly 8000 years back. Against this I will surely post some logics.
Satya Yuga (also called Krita Yuga) : This first age is 1,728,000 human years. Also known as the Golden Age or age of Truth. The qualities of this age are: virtue reigns supreme; human stature is 21 cubits; lifespan is a lakh of years, and death occurs only when willed.
Treta Yuga : This second age is 1,296,000 human years. Also known as the Silver Age. The qualities of this age are : the climate is three quarters virtue and one quarter sin; human stature is 14 cubits; lifespan is 10,000 years.
Supportive statement : In Valmiki Ramayana it is stated that Lord Rama lived for 10,000 years after the war. He went for Vanabas in the age of 18. Stayed there for 14years and after that he returned to Ajodhya.
Dvapara Yuga : This third age is 864,000 human years. Also known as the Bronze Age. The qualities of this age are : the climate is one half virtue and one half sin; lifespan is 1,000 years.
Kali Yuga : The fourth and last age is 432,000 human years. Also known as the Iron Age. This is the age in which we are presently living. The qualities of this age are : the climate is one quarter virtue and three quarters sin; human stature is 3.5 cubits; lifespan is 100 or 120 years.
Traditional timescale : The traditional timescale of the yugas suggests that the Satya Yuga lasts 1,728,000 years, the Treta Yuga 1,296,000 years, the Dvapara Yuga 864,000 years and the Kali Yuga 432,000 years. As per written in the last entry, some points are listed below :
1. Kalyuga started at 3102 BC.
2. Lord Krishna attained mahasamadhi on 20th December, 3102 BC.
3. Mahabharat war had happened in 3139 BC. The Pandavas, after winning the Mahabharat war, ruled Hastinapur for 36 years and 8 months until the beginning of kaliyug in 3102 BC.
4. The stone's chronological age is 1,700,000. Which was used by Lord Rama and his troops some 8000 years ago.
5. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge´s age is also almost equivalent. This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in treta yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).
Now the traditional 4,320,000 years cycle is questionable, based on Vedic and Puranic historical records.
Point to note that Matsya (the fish), Kurma (the turtle), Varaha (the boar) and Narasimha (the man-lion), the first four incarnations of Vishnu, appear in this epoch.Treta Yuga saw the incarnation of the first human avatars of Vishnu: Vamana, Parashurama, and Rama, respectively. The Dharma bull stood on three legs during this period. The Dvapara Yuga (द्वापर युग) is described as seeing the first drastic decline in righteousness of humanity. The dharma bull now only stands only on two legs, so the overall moral standard of the people in the Dvapara Yuga drops immensely. In this age, adherence to the Vedas becomes less acute and the Vedas are divided into the four parts that we know today as the Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva Vedas. More seriously, the Caste system of the varnas is neglected during this time, along with the Yajnas (sacrifices). People living in the Dvapara Yuga were zealous, valiant, courageous and competitive by nature. Further, they were cosmopolitan and pleasure-seeking, and so the divine intellect ceased to exist, and it was therefore seldom that anyone was wholly truthful. Because of this life of deceit, the living standard also decreased in the Dvapara Yuga, with the average life expectancy of humans falling to only 2,000 years. this age played host to the events described in the great Mahabharata epic, including the incarnation of the beloved deity Krishna (Vishnu's eighth avatar in Treta Yuga) and his subsequent participation in the battle between the righteous Pandavas and their corrupt counterparts the Kauravas. Included in this work is the Bhagavadgita, the single most popular set of teachings in Hinduism, wherein Krishna unravels the nature of the universe for the pensive Pandava warrior Arjuna. According to the Puranas this yuga ended at the moment when Krishna died and returned to his eternal abode of Vaikuntha. The Vishnu Purana summarizes the turmoil of the Kali Yuga most succinctly in the following passage:
At that time there will be monarchs reigning over the earth; kings of churlish spirit, violent, and even addicted to falsehood and wickedness (…) Wealth and piety will decrease day by day, until the world will be wholly depraved. Then property alone will confer rank; wealth will be the only source of devotion; Passion will be the sole bond of union between the sexes (…) and women will be objects merely of sensual gratification. (IV: 24).
The Kali Yuga is personified by the demon Kali (not be confused with the Hindu goddess Kali), the source of evil who oversees the final phase of humanity's chaos. At the end of the cycle, the demon Kali, however, will be defeated in a climactic apocalyptic battle by Kalkin, the tenth and final avatar of Vishnu, who will then reestablish the righteous order of dharma, thus beginning a new Satya Yuga.
Two avatars of Klyuga are Gautama Buddha or Paramahansa Shri Ramakrishna & Kalki in Kalyuga.
The present age is known as the Kali Yuga. The scriptures divide the endless passage of time into a cycle of Maha Yugas or aeons. A Maha Yuga lasts 4.32 million years and is made up of a sequence of four different yugas, each with its own characteristics. These four yugas are the Sathya Yuga or Krita Yuga, Tretha Yuga, Dvaapara Yuga and Kali Yuga. In the Sathya Yuga, the age of Truth, righteousness is at its peak. As time passes by, there's a gradual decline in virtue which reaches its nadir in the Kali Yuga. At the end of the Kali Yuga, the Divine will intervenes and restores the universe to its original state of virtue. This marks the beginning of the next Maha Yuga and the cycle thus continues. A sequence of one thousand Maha Yugas is called a Kalpa. A kalpa is one day in the life of Brahma, the Creator aspect of the Trimoorthi Trinity. The universe exists during Brahma's day and is dissolved during Brahma's night.
The Great War of Mahabharat between the Pandavas and the Kauravas happened in 3139 BC. The Pandavas, after winning the Mahabharat war, ruled Hastinapur for 36 years and 8 months until the beginning of kaliyug in 3102 BC. Since the Mahabharat war and the beginning of kaliyug were important historical events, they have been widely documented in Bhartiya scriptures and frequently referenced by great scholars such as Mahakavi Kalidas, the greatest poet, writer and the literary figure of his time and Aryabhatt, the greatest astronomer and mathematician. There are astrological, natural, geographical, physical, inscriptional and scriptural evidences that unquestionably establish the date of Mahabharat war as 3139 BC and the beginning of kaliyug as 3102 BC. The beginning of Kali Yuga traditionally dates from the death of Krishna, the eighth Avatar of Vishnu. Kali Yuga began 20th December, 3102 BC, which was the day when Krishna attained mahasamadhi.
Ramayana is the history embedded with myth and side stories, relating to the fight for survival between the natives and the invaders from the Eurasia, i.e. Aryans. The stone's chronological age is 1700 000. Which was used by Lord Rama and his troops some 8000 years ago.
I strongly do believe that Ramayana happened. Because Maa Sarada Devi, when shewas taken to Rameswaram shen suddenly said that "Jamonti dekhechilam think tamonti ache." It says "As I seen it previous, it remains same". I hope she was talking about the bridge to Lanka i.e. Sri Lanka.
Nasa Digital Image Collection
Space images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam´s Bridge is made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long. The bridge´s unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge´s age is also almost equivalent. This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in tredha yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago). But this 1,700,000 years calculation is as per traditional timescale.
In this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the incarnation of the supreme. This information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology.
Lord Parashuram the Sixth Incarnation of Lord Vishnu
Lord Vishnu is one of the 'Hindu Trinity', which also included Brahma and Shiva, and is the protector and preserver of creation, responsible for maintaining the cosmic order, 'Dharma'. It is believed that he has incarnated in many life forms when Dharma was in danger because of evil elements in the world, 'Dushta'. These incarnations are called 'avataar's', of which there are ten, and Parshuram was the sixth. He appeared during a time when the kshatriya race had become arrogant and disregarded religion, which led them to suppressing the Brahmins. Parashuram is known as Vishnu's angry avataar as he wiped out the race in which resulted in establishing the supremacy of the Brahmin race.
In Parshuram, Lord Vishnu incarnates as a Brahmin (priest) who is depicted carrying an axe ('parasha'). Parashuram was the first of five sons of Jamadagni and Renuka. King Kartavirya was the ruler of the land and possessed the strength of a thousand arms. He and his army visited Parashuram's father, who was a sage, who according to custom, fed the king and his army a hearty meal, which was prepared through using his divine cow, Kamadhenu, bestowed upon him by Lord Shiva. Through his greed, the king demanded the cow but Jamadagni refused on the grounds that he needed it for his prayers however, King Kartavirya forcibly took the cow. Angered by his actions Parashuram killled the entire army and cut each one of the king's arms with his axe. In revenge, the king's sons killed Jamadagni in Parshuram's absence.
The murder of his father made Parshuram furious and he avenged his death by killing all of the king's sons and their aides. But in his rage, he went on a spree of killing every adult Kshatriya, not just once but 21 times, The bloody conflicts resulted in him filling five ponds with blood. His grandfather finally stopped him and he donated the earth to the Brahmins.
Parashuram also appeared in the holy story of Ramayana, where he breaks Rama's bow to marry Sita. He also appears in the Mahabharata where the evil King Kans receives advice from him, whilst he is disguised as a Brahmin. In the same scripture, he teaches military arts to Bhishma, Drona and Karna - key warriors in the Mahabaratya war. He also plays the role of a tutor to Vishnu's tenth avataar, Kalki, who appears to rid the world from evil, and mentors Kalki to perform a long penance to please Lord Shiva and attain the celestial weapons, the story of which is narrated in the Kalki Purana.
Parashuram was also encountered by Lord Ganesh, the elephant god, who met him when Parashuram went to pay his respects to Lord Shiva. He was blocked by Lord Ganesh so he threw his axe, given to him by Lord Shiva, which cut off one of Lord Ganesh's tusks. Parashuram is a different avatar to the rest, as he lived and still lives in mortal form, instead of ascending to heaven. Lord Parashuram will stay alive until the Universe faces the Mahapralaya (deluge).
Ageless Great Himalayan Sage. Main Ashram at Amarkantak, from where River Narmada emanates. River Narmada is daughter of Lord Shiva. It flows from Mount Maikal and therefore she is also referred as Maikalsuta (Daughter of Maikal). PP Barfani Dadaji's Ashram is adjoining to the Temple of Maa Narmada, the originating point of Maa Narmada. It appears that main object of Pujya Dadaji''s life is Vishwa Kalyan (Welfare of all creatures of world). He has many other Ashrams like at, Indore(MP), Omkareshwar(MP), Ayodhya(UP), Khairagadh (CG), Rajnandgaon (CG).
In the Himalayas, Barfani Dadaji Maharaj visited Nepal, Ranikhet, Pithorgarh, Tibet and Mansarovar temples and engaged himself in rigorous meditation attaining rare powers. He also learnt the secrets of meditation from the saint of Gyanganj, Paramhans Phuleri Baba. In 1930, the Dadaji relinquished his old body and attained a new one through Kayakalp Vidya. Following the Chinese invasion of 1962, Dadaji left his Himalayan abode and settled down at Amarkantak temple.
He chose Amarkantak temple because, it was an important pilgrimage centre where nearly 4 crore pilgrims visited every year and where Lord Shiva himself makes his presence felt in the form of the Narmada River.
On his pilgrimage to Lake Mansarovar, he met Sant Dhuni Waale Dadaji of Sai Kheda and did seva to him. Pleased with his service, the saint hit his two wives with the thin stick that he carried and gave them a boon of begetting two sons each. He however, told Ram Dutt that youngest of the sons belonged to him and he would come and take him.
Dadaji was 8 years old when Sant Dhuni Waale Dadaji of Sai Kheda took him away. He took diksha from Saint Arjundas, a vaishnava saint. He also studied Sanskrit in Varanasi from Khela Brahmachari and attained knowledge of Sanskrit, Religion, Philosophy, Maths and Ayurveda under his tutelage then left for the Himalayas to meditate.
Thereafter, he went to Mansarovar and learnt tantra from Ganesh Lama. Once an avalanche fell on him and he came out of it by melting the snow through sadhana. Hence, he was known as Barfani Dadaji. He also learnt the secrets of meditation from the saint of Gyanganj, Paramhans Phuleri Baba.
In 1930, he did kayakalpa and rejuvenated his physical body once again. He continued to live in Mansarovar till 1962 from where he came to Haridwar during the Chinese invasion. Presently he stays in Amarkantak, which is the source of the Narmada River. He chose it because, it was an important pilgrimage center where nearly 400 million pilgrims visit every year and where Lord Shiva Himself makes his presence felt in the form of the Narmada River.
Yes. He is alive. He will come back probably in 2015. Right now he is doing strong sadhanas in Himalaya. He is Seventh Monu. He is Kalki Avatar. As per the book "Amarkantaker pathe Barfani Dadaji Maharaj" Netaji Subhash Bose will come back again probably in 2015 when we will face a lot of problems in all aspects such as economical, social etc.
A huge current and energy coming from space towards our earth, will destroy most of the electrnics and digital intsruments, systems, communications within 2-3 years. Disasters like melting of glaciers, excessive sun heat to occur. World will face problems partially. Some regions will remain unaffected. As per Barfani Dadaji Maharaj Satya Yuga to be started soon. When Yugantar takes place collision between the atoms and molecules of two yugas occurs. We have nothing to do except praying to GOD. If he saves us we will see the sunrise of new yuga. By meditation we reveal GOD's strength within us.
There is a wave of changes in the politics of West Bengal. The followers of opposition party are getting excited with good results in election and apparently it is seemed that the ruling party is getting weaker. By such scenerio it is clear that something different is going to take place. But the question is whether any party is at all good for us? Maybe some leaders are honest enough but as a whole the entire system has got corrupted. The political war has started, Maoist attack is also there - as if the bell of destruction is getting heared. Yes. Things will become worse. Lets see what happens. We like to stay safe. But somehow I feel that the coming days will become worse. though we are thinking that changes will bring good days and peace but there is also a chance of occurance of the period of state so called "matsanyay" which took place in the time "Sen Age" in Bengal. India will also face some problems. World also. A huge disturbance has started. This will be increased if we don't become alert and immediately start to think. Yes the key is with us. We have lost our great values. We have become self-centered, selfish, lustful for power and money. The ruler party is accusing the opposition party and vice-versa. And we are becoming hampered. What a price hike of essential commodities! It has become tough to spend the expenditure. Fast economic separation is getting constructed - poor and rich. Middle class society will be vanished. This class will not exist. Many unnatural things will take place. A lot of things will happen which can't be explained by our logic then.
SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS from around the world are predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well come to an end. Some are saying it’ll be humans that would set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it’ll be God himself who would press the stop button. The following are some likely arguments as to why the world would end by the year 2012.
Reason one: Mayan calendar
The first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things -- building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and sacrificing virgins.
Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it’s likely they’ve got the end of the world right as well.
Reason two: Sun storms
Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery. Our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic and it’s supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the earth with lot of radiation energy. It’s been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse and calculations suggest it’ll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012.
Reason three: The atom smasher
Scientists in Europe have been building the world’s largest particle accelerator. Basically, its a 27 km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it’s properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They’re predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.
Reason four: The Bible says it
If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn’t bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act as well. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between good an evil, has been set for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese Book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.
Reason five: Super volcano
Yellowstone National Park in United States is famous for its thermal springs and old faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple -- it’s sitting on top of the world’s biggest volcano and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we’re many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.
Reason six: The physicists
This one’s case of bog -- simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berkely University have been crunching the numbers. They’ve determined that the earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they’re claiming that their calculations prove that we’re all going to die, very soon. They are also saying that their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 per cent; and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.
Reason seven: Earth’s magnetic field
We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that shields us from most of the sun’s radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call North and South have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so -- and right now we’re about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30 kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is under way, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.
Please don't get afraid. Nothing like above will take place. Mayan Calendar was constructed in order to define this Kalyuga. Since Satya Yuga will start after 21.12.2012 that was why the calendar didn't mention anything after that above said format. In Kumbhmela 100 years back 108 Sadhus raised the Saffron Flag of Styayuga as they witnessed the new coming age. Read reason 4 again - Bible also says that there will be battle. Yes battle means the collision between two yugas. There will be friction between the atoms and molecules of two yugas. 75% people will die. The rest will enter into the new yuga. But this is also a fact that due to global warming, green house effect, nuclear experiments our nature has been disturbed a lot. Let's save the mankind - start planting everywhere. Please. Please. Please. Let us make a community dedicated for the survival of mankind. We have hampered a lot meanwhile. But time is not finished yet. We have time in hand. Still we can save our earth from being destructed.
